Wow. The spuce top is solid spruce and not veneer! maybe a little on the thick side (3mm) The Irin logo is real inlaid wood and the Abalone purfling is actual real Abalone inlay and not a sticker. It looks lovely. The frets all well dressed - none sharp. The action was quite good and intonation better than some much more expensive ukes. The general finish is very good. Inside, the construction looks good and clean. I didn't expect much at under £40 but was amazed! I'm replacing the plastic saddle with a bone one and fitting some high quality strings and expect it to sound pretty good. At under £40 grab one quick!
